4:30am and we were at Kings Cross St Pancras. You’d think we’d try and get some sleep on the train but when you’ve got 5 girls ready and excited to go to Paris & Disney - that’s defo not happening!
We chatted away until we arrived to Gare du Nord, from which we made our way to Lidl. Ah, good old Lidl.
While we were in the south of France (blog posts coming soon), we basically fed off Lidl (for breakfast mainly), so I recommended we get our picnic from there. Croissants at 29p are a winner for me!
After we got all our goodies, we made our way towards the gorgeous Eiffel Tower. It was the perfect weather - 21 degrees and a hazy sun. That’s how I like it when I’m wearing my converse that let me have no air through to my feet aka my thermometers (if they’re hot - I’m hot! And vice versa). We found a little spot to camp near the Trocadero overlooking the Eiffel Tower and yet not surrounded by people. We chatted away with many topics at hand as you do when you’re a group of 5 girls who just love chatting.
We then made our way to the Trocadero for some pictures of which proved to be slightly difficult - mainly meaning me because I was terrified of falling off the edge. Jess & Phoebe gracefully (more like they carried my body weight - well done girls) put me on the ledge so I was ready for the pictures.
The Eiffel Tower is just magical. Every time I see it, I can’t get over it. It’s like Big Ben - no matter how long I’ve lived in London, there’s just something about it that is completely magical. Side note, can’t wait for Big Ben to be uncovered 🙄
We then made our way towards Montmartre, the gorgeous art district. By this time, as we were carrying a load of bags, we were kinda ready to sit down. We sat down, chatted for an hour, and the girls got crepes and gelatos. We went around the art district hunting for vintage postcards and admiring the live art happening in front of us.
We also admired La Maison Rose because it was pink basically and had a time of photos there.
Very tired because we were up since 3:30, we made our way to check in to the Residhome Val D’Europe where we had a cute little apartment in the hotel (it was a super great price by the way ((do I ever like to do anything not frugally lol)) - we spent £30 per girl for the night and it included breakfast. Probably because it was off season to go to Disney - more on that later!). We were on the hunt for food as our tummies rumbled so we went to the shopping centre and ended up at the corner pizza shop with slices of pizza in our hands on our way back to the hotel.
We then got ready for bed, attempting to sleep early, but do a bunch of girls having a sleepover waiting for their Disney day ever sleep early?
Nah!
And we woke up in the morning bright and early ready for the day that awaited us.....
More on Disney soon!
Love,
Nat xx
